Stichting Kind & Zorg wants every child who is ill or has a medical condition to receive optimal healthcare.That means care without fear, stress or pain — where children feel seen, heard and safe.Before, during and after care, children should be able to live their own lives as much as possible.
That means being able to take part and develop in the way they choose.
Stichting Kind & Zorg (Foundation Child & Healthcare) strives for optimal healthcare for every child and their family. Care preferably takes place at home, at school, or in day care — and when necessary, in a hospital or healthcare organisation.
Healthcare professionals place the child and family at the centre. They listen carefully to the voice of the child and family, as they are the true experts in their own situation.
Professionals provide children and families with clear and complete information about all available options, taking every domain of the child’s life into account.
Together with their healthcare professionals, the child and family make choices that match their needs and preferences — enabling the child to develop as fully as possible within a life that is meaningful to them.
And, whenever possible, to grow into a confident adult.
